When copper metal reacts with concentrated nitric acid, SALT, WATER and GAS forms. What is the name of the gas?

Answers
Cu(s) + 4 HNO3(l) ==> Cu(NO3)2(s and aq) + 2 H2O(l) + 2 NO2(g)Copper + Conc. nitric acid ==> Copper nitrate + Water + Nitrogen Dioxide gasIn this equation, Copper and Nitric Acid react in the ratio 1:4. When the Nitric Acid is dilute rather than concentrated, they react in the ratio 3:8.

It forms nitrogen dioxide, I would be happy to help in any further chemistry problems you have and am up for tutoring sessions if wanted? I wouldn't charge much and I enjoy passing on my knowledge to other students :)
