To know whether you can simplify 6 over 35 you have to ask yourself if there is one number that can go into both 6 and 35. We know that 3 goes into 6 twice so then we can see if 3 also goes into 45 which it does 15 times. So 6/35 simplifies to 2/15

for simplifying 6 over 45....try to find out common factor between them and then divide both of them by that factor
in this case common factor in 3...so it simplifies to 2 over 45

6/45 = (23)/(153) = (2/15)(3/3) = (2/15)1 = 2/15.
Look for the common factor between the numerator and the denominator.
Hope this helps.
