Did most Americans benefit from FDR's New Deal?

The country was still feeling the effects of the Great Depression and government action at the time had (inadvertently) made matters worse. By taking money out of the system, they had deflated the economy further and made matters a whole lot worse for many Americans. The New Deal put money back in to the economy. They had three sims: relief, recovery and reform. The idea was to get the economy going again so that people could find work and be better off. It can be difficult to judge how well the aims of the New Deal were met because WW2 arrived shortly afterwards and that pushed people back in to work anyway. One thing to bear in mind is that it's a very political subject in the US. Democrats generally view it as a good thing, Republicans, not.
