energy change

what is the relationship between volume and the amount of energy transferred as heat

Answers
If you are talking about Enthalpy then it is a proportional relationship. Enthalpy is the flow of heat in or out of a substance. The amount of heat transfer is equal to the energy plus the pressure multiplied by the volume of that substance.

H = E + PV is the formulae for enthalpy. We cannot ever pinpoint the enthalpy of a substance so it is only ever measured as a difference in enthalpy over time.
