It can be tough to remember everything you need to know. Have you thought about using different ways to remember facts? I found that drawing out mind maps really helped. Diagrams can be easier to understand than lots of text.

In case you don't know about mind maps I have added a video which explains how you create them.

Something else you could try is creating your own mnemonics. They are a mind memory learning aid such as a poem, phrase or special word. Remember BODMAS (add, subtract, multiply, divide, squaring) for maths?

You may also find it helpful when looking at a lot of information is to break it down. While teaching GCSE Chemistry i found that taking a description of the cracking process (about a side of A4 text and asking students to narrow it down to six key sentences, then 10 keywords and finally six keywords. This creates anchor points with the key terms and really gets you to think about the concepts. Made a two grade jump in my class so quite a nice activity.

it is also useful to look at the mark scheme for questions - or ask your teacher about this. as sometimes in a 6 mark question, there could be one mark for giving a fact, then 2 marks for explaining it, then another 3 for linking it to something else..... so it's not always that you have 'missed out' 3 facts, it might be more to do with how you have worded it.

All the above comments are great - looking at the mark scheme is really helpful. Mind mapping can also be really useful. In addition, what I find really useful for remembering large amounts of information (sometimes whole topics for degree exams) is to create mental images of the information. Sometimes this imagery can create a story which talks you through everything you need to remember. For other, shorter answers, just a simple image can do. It can depend on to what extent you are a visual learner but, for many people, it is much easier to remember images than it is to remember lots of information in the form of words! Hope this helps!
