Hi,Not sure if you still need the answer but I have just joined.Equality and diversity are shown in the workplace through the employment of people from different backgrounds, the guidelines for which organisations need to follow in relation to the two are outlined in the law such as the Equality Act 2010. Under these guidelines the workplace, by law, is required to employ people without discriminating against race, gender and so forth. An organisation which is diverse will have people from all backgrounds working for it. Equality will be demonstrated through employees being valued as individuals. Initially, when recruiting it is the employers job to ensure they employ with equality and diversity in mind. However, once employed all employees are responsible for ensuring they treat each other with respect and show diversity and equality throughout. Hope this helps :-)
