how many pieces of ribbon each 4.5 cm can be cut from a length of 4 and a ahalf metres

Answers
So we need to start off by finding out how many cm are in the 4 and a half meters. There are 100 cm in a meter so for 4.5 meters the total no. of cms is 4.5x100 = 450cm. Then we divide 450 by 4.5cm (the length of the piece of ribbon) which gives us 100 - the total number of pieces of ribbon that we can cut.
