if tim spent three fifths of his money on sweets and three tenths on ice cream, what fraction of his money had he left?

Answers
We know that 5 goes into 10. So make both fractions over ten. 3/5 also equals 6/10. He has spent 6/10 and 3/10, so he has spent 9/10 in total. He will therefore have 1/10th left.
