Measurement and units(Prefixes)

How do you go about converting prefixes? example: 320J______kJ

Answers
There is really no alternative to experience: you have to get the feeling of "big" and "small" units. If you were to be given 324 pennies I bet you'd have no difficulty in working out how many pounds that was. Initially you could design a crib sheet, 1000g = 1kg etc. I have a few ideas on handling this problem but the format is too restricted on this platform to explain them. Presumably you have a list of the prefixes you need? pico, nano, milli, kilo, mega etc?
