reading about lives of others

consider the value of reading about lives of others

Answers
I think that it can give you new perspectives on life, particularly if you read something by someone with a completely different background and beliefs to yourself. Understanding the views and opinions of others is a true life skill.

For example, I recently read the book 'It's Not About The Bike: My Journey Back to Life' by the famous cyclist Lance Armstrong. It gave me an insight into what it is like to be an elite athlete and someone fighting cancer. Really eye opening and something that helped me understand the way that people like Lance think and behave - cycling one minute and fighting cancer the next.
