recurring decimals to fractions

Hello, How would I convert 0.24444... (just the 4 recurring) into a fraction?

Answers
If you take just 0.24, then to convert this to a fraction it is 24/100 = 6/25. Taking 0.244 converts as a fraction to 244/1000 = 61/250 which is approximately 6/25 dividing each side by 10. Taking 2444/10000 and so on, you would also get an answer which is approximately 6/25. Therefore, converting 0.2444...(with the 4 recurring) to a fraction is 6/25.

Slight correction to above solution: 244/1000 = 61/250 which is approximately 6/25 when dividing both the numerator and denominator (i.e., top and bottom) by 10. Hope this helps.
