what is the area for a triangle if the base is 10m and the sides are 20m?

Answers
We know the area of a triangle is 1/2 x base x perpeindicular height This is an isosceles triangle because 2 sides are equal. To get the perpendicular height we must split the triangle in half and use pythagoras to find the height by using the base as 5m and the hypoteneuse as 20m. Pythagoras gives the height as 19.36m So the area is 1/2 x 19.36 x 10 = 96.8m
