why is asceptic technique important in microbiology
Answers
Microbiology is a set of techniques and methods for scientific inquiry exploiting prokaryotes. Those prokaryotes most useful to us are generally also fragile; that is, if other prokaryotes get into the petri dish, beaker, microscope slide, etc., then those other prokaryotes will outcompete your experimental organisms. Prokaryotes live everywhere: on your skin, in the air, on the lab bench, and anywhere else. Asceptic technique is important so as not to introduce contaminating organisms into your experiment, which could easily kill your experimental organisms.
