Working with Ratios

Three dolls have height ratio of 7:6:4, if the middle one is 9 Cm in height, what are the heights of others?? how to work this out?

Answers
Ok so the bit of information that we do know is that the middle doll is 9cm and that this height has a value of 6 in terms of the ratios. So to find out the relationship between the ratios and the heights we have to divide 9 by 6. 9/6 = 1.5 So all we have to do now is multiply the other numbers by 1.5. So for the first doll the height is 7x1.5 = 10.5cm and for the third doll it is 4x1.5= 6cm. It's all about finding out the basic relationship between the ratios and the heights first (in this case 1.5) by using the information we already have. Then we can work out the rest.
