About the lesson

I am a graduate of the University of Sheffield in Chinese Studies and German. Following graduation I taught English at a primary school in Hong Kong and was able to travel extensively in Asia.
I am a TEFL trained teacher of English with two years of practical experience teaching children and adults. I am patient and flexible to the needs and goals of individual students.

Thanks to intensive study during my degree and time spent living in China and Hong Kong j speak mandarin to a high level. I am comfortable teaching speaking, listening, readding, writing and translation skills up to A Level standard. Chinese is a challenging language but with a dedicated tutor as a guide, you can break it down and make great progress.

I have also spent periods of time in Germany and also studied German as part of my degree. I am confident in speaking, listening, reading, writing and translation skills. I also have good knowledge of German literature, philosophy, culture and linguistics. This is especially useful if you have projects on German culture or extended writing assessments at A-Level.
