I achieved A*, A, A, C grades at A level. As a dynamic, driven individual with keen ability for critical self-evaluation my ability in being a reflexive tutoring practitioner is evident. My passion for geography is advantageous in reducing educational inequality via my dedication to create curious learners via challenging yet accessible geography. I hold a Geography & Planning degree with a 2:1 classification, awarded from a Russell group university, where research has been at the epicentre of my learning.
I am currently training to become a Secondary school (GCSE & A-level) Geography teacher at UCL Institute of Education.
At university I held geography mentor role, aiding students transition into university through providing regular social activities and assignment advice sessions. This consolidated leadership and collaboration skills through organising innovative activities to retain student engagement for effective guidance. Responsibilities included feeding back issues or concerns expressed by mentees to internal support services. I am well adjusted to helping others reach their academic goals and am sociable, productive and strategic in motivating students to enquire geographically and attain their targets.
