I graduated from UCL with a BSc in Mathematics in 2017. Before joining one of the top universities I was a maths scholar at St Marylebone School London. At A-level I achieved A* in Maths and Further Maths, A in Russian and B in Chemistry and Physics. My tutoring career started almost eight years ago, when I volunteered at my school Maths Club during my GCSE. I managed to help numerous people to reach their full potential and was commended for my achievements by my teachers and students. This valuable experience led me into my independent tutoring career which I started four years ago.
As part of my tutoring I have prepared students to meet their targets, retake their a-levels to re-apply for a more suitable university and pass entry maths tests for masters in Economics in European Universities. I worked for a tutoring agency in London which helped me expand the range of exam boards I work with now. I teach not only GCSE and A-level maths but also IB. Furthermore, after I graduated I became a teaching assistant at a special needs school based in Surrey. This environment helped me to develop a more patient approach to teaching and also learn more advanced teaching techniques.
One of the reasons I enjoy teaching is because of the positive impact I can have on the futures of those I teach. I believe that everyone has the ability to succeed in maths given the correct guidance, by making it both enjoyable and demonstrating its applicability to everyday situations. Throughout my life, my major role models have been, aside from my family, my teachers, who have pushed me to be my very best and have shaped me as a person. I long for the opportunity to become a positive role model for the next generation.
I can teach Maths at any level at school or college. I can also teach Chemistry and Physics at GCSE level.
