About Arabella
Over my three years at university, I provided a service to colleagues and student in which I would read through their essays, double checking for spelling, grammar and also providing support on structure and argument. I have also mentored for 3 primary school children at King Athelstan’s School, and mentored a year 7 student at Kingston Grammar School.

Hi! I am a post-graduate student of English Literature, who gives tutoring support to GCSE and A-level students. Although my degree is in English Literature, I can also offer support in Philosophy and Theatre Studies.
I will begin by getting to know, not only what the student finds difficult, but what it is that makes them curious about the subject, as curiosity is at the heart of education. From this I will create an individual lesson plan, and general structure for the student. This will be as practical as possible, with exercises, audio-visual examples and feedback.
Further, I will make the student aware of how their course is structured: what is the marker looking for and why? It is vital that the student is aware of how their work is being looked at, in order to understand their own progress.
I offer support to both dyslexic and non-dyslexic student, I have gone through the education system with dyslexia, and therefore I have practical experience in working with dyslexia.
