Highly experienced humanities tutor who takes students from E's to A's!
My name is Ben and I have been a tutor in the humanities for 3 years. I am currently studying my MA in Philosophy at a Russell Group University. I achieved 10 As at GCSE and 3 A's 1 A (all humanities subjects) at A level. In addition, I have also published a book on religion and philosophy. In my spare time I work as a freelance journalist and I have written and edited for Vogue, The Telegraph, I-D and a number of other publications.
I teach in a fun and immersive way with my students ranging from 6 years old to 17 years old. I create tailored lessons over an appropriate time-frame with clear and realistic goals. Furthermore, I provide work that can be done outside the lessons to supplement the learning and (where appropriate) I give essays to be completed and then mark them, giving feedback based off the relevant mark scheme. Now, we've all had boring teachers, so a key feature of my lessons is that they're informative and FUN! Learning should be something fuelled by passion that's genuinely interesting and often my younger age means students find me more accessible and thus learn more from me in an efficient and pleasant way! Teaching is something I thoroughly enjoy and that I love giving time to do!
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions!
Kindest regards, Ben
