I am currently a teacher of Science at an outstanding secondary school based in Nottingham. I have always had a passion for Science and completed a degree in Biology. I now teach chemistry, physics and biology from the ages 11-18 years.
I am an enthusiastic and friendly tutor, who loves to share that enthusiasm to my students. I have loved Science for as long as I can remember. I achieved an A whilst studying my GCSEs. Took Science as a A-Level and then went on to complete my degree in Biology.
I have had experience in tutoring previously and have tutored children from KS2 up to KS5. I would say my teaching style is very traditional. I enjoy one on one tutoring as it gives me an opportunity to really get to know a student, assess their ability and be able to give them my full attention. I start with laying down the foundations and will monitor progress by writing up each and every lesson, carrying out an assessment after 6 weeks, with a report to go back to the parents. I will also set homework on occasions if all the material is not worked through during the lesson.
