Hello!
My name is Ciaran and I am a graduate of University College London. My BA was in Philosophy and I am continuing my studies at the London School of Economics to do an MSc in the Philosophy of the Social Sciences. I love tutoring and I try to help out students not only with difficulties they may be having with the subject matter itself, but with all aspects of their study; be it essay technique, revision planning, university applications, wider reading - the lot!
I also think it's vital to know how to make studying work for the student in question, so I try to accommodate for people who prefer to learn in different ways and through different mediums other than simply note-taking, for example. This is, I believe, especially pertinent for some of the subjects that I offer tuition for: Philosophy, Sociology and Government and Politics. Being theory-centered, discursive subjects I recognise the importance of helping students to grasp the concepts that come up in their lessons by providing them with an opportunity to discuss them at length.
