Welcome to the Edutute site on The Tutor Pages.
Edutute is a tuition study centre for the study of English. It caters for students of all ages from the English element of the 11+ to Business English.

Classes are run in small groups of approximately five students to allow for contribution of students and for independent attention.
11+ classes - available focusing on reading, comprehension, cloze, shuffled sentences, verbal reasoning,antonyms and synonyms. There are 6 weekly tests with a report and to set new goals.
Conversion course from primary to secondary school - teaching English skills in preparation for the next phase.
Key stage three - analysis of texts, Shakespeare etc
GCSE - poetry, plays, 19th century novel, and modern texts. Revision courses
A level - poetry, plays, 19th century novel, modern texts.
Revision courses
Travel English - Conversational English and life skills
English as a foreign language - to understand English with the opportunity to take exams
Business English

- Centre Director(s)
Julia Metcalfe is the Centre Director. She has been in education for over 25 years working in primary, grammar and comprehensive schools. Her last teaching post was Head of House and Professional tutor at Langley Grammar and also head of department. Since leaving teaching she has worked as a private tutor, successfully tutoring students through Common Entrance for schools such as Eton, Harrow, Cheltenham Ladies and Wellington College.
She is married with two grown children. Her hobbies are reading and writing, cinema, theatre, travelling, exploring new cultures.
