I am a fully qualified Computer Science Teacher. As well as my PGCE and QTS; I have a First Class Bachelors Degree in Business Computing Systems with Information and Communication Technology. Teaching Experience: I worked until July at a secondary school as a full-time computer science teacher for pupils aged 11-18. I taught KS3, KS4 & KS5 the latest OCR specifications. As part of my PGCE I worked at two secondary schools as a computer science & ICT teacher. These were comprehensive schools with pupils aged 11-18.

I have not only recently taught a class of 15 for their two years through GCSE that gained these results 2 x A*, 4 x A, 3 x B, 4 x C in computer science, but also a high grading ICT Class and a class who averaged a distinction grade in their European Computing Driving Licence exam on MS Office 2016 products (11 of the 32, students attained over 95%).

Safety concerns? GOOD! Everyone should be cautious. Check with DBS here is my number: ENHANCED CERTIFICATE (Disclosure and Barring Service License 001438522441) Before working as a teacher I completed my degree as above but before that I worked in the IT industry for 15 years, the last 4 of which were as a ITIL qualified IT Services Manager, managing a team of remote IT support engineers, I was responsible for the IT Operations of 145 offices, telephony, data networks, servers and business software.

Other Skills: Strong Python skills, Unix (mostly Linux) Front End web Development. MVC, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver & Fireworks, Windows, Java, Python, SQL, CSS3, PHP, HTML5, Scratch, App Inventor… the list is too much for this section. :)

Oh and did I mention I was a serving special constable for 4 years in Devon and Cornwall Constabulary?

Even if you decide not to hire me, I hope you decide to program every day! We will all need to be able to code in the future. Who know’s what you’ll achieve? I have learning difficulties (small working memory) and I got a first class degree! All you need to do is work hard and the great thing about hard work is that the more you do it the more a routine it becomes and the easier it gets! :)
