I first started tutoring four years ago, while studying History and Ancient History at Exeter University. My degree was very flexible, involving literature and philosophy modules, which reflects my interests across the humanities which I cultivated very early on in school. In my last year of school I studied History, Politics, and English Literature, using the syllabus from AQA and EdExcell (I achieved the highest mark in Europe for in Politics for EdExcell, and received A, A, A overall).
Since university I have continued to work as a private tutor, while also working as a tutor with schools as part of a new government scheme to provide tutors to disadvantaged kids. In the last two years, my experience in the educational sector has become very diverse. I moved to China, where I taught English as a foreign language to schoolchildren for over six months, before I worked in Greece, teaching English as a foreign language to refugees from Iraq, Iran, and Syria. I have now returned to the UK, and hope to go back into education soon.
I hope to guide you to success, whether or not that be for exams. I think I can help in areas such as content, concept, essay structure, writing technique, exam preparation, and general confidence. To do this, I will shape these tutorials to you, and create a personal plan to help you achieve your goals. I look forward to hearing from you.
