Since graduating from the University of Wales in Cardiff with a first class honours degree in 1995, I have enjoyed a career in education teaching pupils English from ks2 - ks5. Latterly, I graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MPhil in English and Applied Linguistics. I am passionate about creating a learning environment that combines fun and rigour. Pupils need to feel uninhibited about making mistakes as making mistakes are important milestones on the way to better and deeper understanding. Lessons are designed to promote progression in the subject and it is equally important to ignite and sustain a positive mindset in the pupil - a 'can do' approach to tasks set.
