I have just graduated from Oxford with a degree in History. I absolutely love my subject, and seek to communicate this enthusiasm to my students and help them to achieve their potential in an enjoyable yet effective way. I've been lucky enough to explore a diverse range of subjects during my degree—from the Norman Conquest to Victorian Britain, early modern witchcraft to 20th Century Europe, and the Troubles to recent Middle Eastern history—and wrote my thesis on the Kindertransport. I won the Peterhouse Cambridge Vellacott History Prize as a sixth former, and can also tutor English to A Level and Latin to GCSE level (I received 12 As at GCSE, and 3 As and an A respectively in History, English, Latin and Mathematics at A Level). I am also able to help students prepare for university admissions, entrance tests and interviews. I have worked with children of varying abilities and ages in the past, and I can adapt my teaching style to the tutee's needs. My aim is to help them to consolidate and extend their knowledge, whilst ensuring that they are equipped to deal with the demands of their specific exam board. I also want to encourage students to consider different opinions and approaches to a question, which leads to a more stimulating and exciting learning environment. I am friendly and patient, and love helping students to realise their full potential.
