Hello! I am an experienced and flexible teacher who has taught in a range of schools in the UK and in international schools in Portugal and Brazil. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and love helping them to learn new skills, grow in confidence and achieve their goals.
After studying for a BA in Modern Languages and European Studies at the University of Bath, I completed my Primary PGCE with a specialism in modern languages. Whilst working as a teacher, I also completed a Masters in Primary Education (Policy & Practice) at the Institute of Education, UCL.
Throughout my time living and working abroad, I have gained a great deal of experience working with children for whom English is a second language. I also teach English as a foreign language to adults, having completed the CELTA qualification in 2007.
I have lots of experience tutoring children of all ages and abilities. Many of the children I have tutored have needed extra support with Maths and English at primary level to make them feel more confident at school or to help them to achieve their best in their Year 6 SATs tests. Older pupils have needed assistance with languages at GCSE & A-Level whilst others, adults included, simply want the opportunity to practise their speaking in a positive and supportive environment. I would be very happy to assist you or your child, whatever your learning goals may be.
