I am currently a secondary school teacher teaching Maths at KS3, GCSE and AS level.
Prior to this, I have achieved an economics degree, passing with a 2:1, as well as achieving an A in a-level maths.
My commitment and enthusiasm in teaching led me onto a TeachFirst graduate scheme which has allowed me to develop my learning in the pedagogical field. The most important thing about teaching is to enjoy and love your subject. Students struggle with mathematics as they perceive it to be out of touch with the real-world. My economics degree taught me the contrary, in how mathematics is used everyday in the real world, to the basics of addition stretching to the complex theories of trigonometry. This has helped me through my first year of teaching as I was able to pass this knowledge on to my students.
I am more than eager and excited to help students to understand and love maths as it is an amazing skill to master and an integral part of life.
