I am an HCPC regsistered Biomedical Scientist working in a clinical Microbiology laboratory. I am a bubbly, laid back individual and I enjoy developing my skills, as well as helping to develop others. During my time at University, I was Vice President of "Raise and Give" - a fundraising society - for which I received a Bronze "Stand Out Certificate" from my student union. I have also spent a brief time working for Thermo Fisher Scientific which is a leading international biotechnology company. In my spare time I enjoy learning to play the piano, going to the gym, going out with friends and nature walks.

I have a BSc (hons) in Applied Biomedical Sciences (first class) covering subjects such as; Medical Biochemistry (e.g. genetics, metabolism), Cancer Biology and Therapuetics, Medical Microbiology, Clinical Immunology, Haematology and Bood Transfusion, Anatomy and Physiology and Cellular Pathology/Histology. I also have a Diploma in Industrial Studies (Science) and I am a Licentiate member of the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS).

I have previously helped in a classroom setting at Springfield Primary School. Currently, I am helping to train a student in a clinical laboratory setting during her placement year. I have also supported a final year student with his dissertation (final year project). As part of my continuing professional development, on occasion I give presentations to a team of clinical laboratory staff.

I am happy to tutor GCSE Science, A Level Human Biology, study skills and mentoring.

This first lesson was very good and easy to understand.
