Hi there, I'm Adam and I've just graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class Masters in Chemistry. The reason I want to tutor is because after all those years studying at school and at university, I've realised one of the greatest pleasures I receive is when I'm able to explain a new concept to a friend or colleague. I truly believe that everyone can learn anything if they're willing to put the work in. For my A-Levels, I studied Maths, Further Maths, Additional Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics and got 5A*'s at A-Level.
I like helping the student explore the answer rather than telling them the answer. I feel the logic behind arriving to the solution is more important than the answer itself so the way I teach is very much geared towards ensuring the student is happy with deriving the solution from first principles. I'll always make sure students understand what they're learning by asking them questions between each topic, and checking whether they have a solid understanding before moving on.
