I am a qualified secondary school teacher with over 18 years teaching experience. I have taught English, Spanish and sociology up to a GCSE and University level. I have also taught English as a Foreign language to adults (IELTS, TOEFL & Cambridge) and prepared students for Cambridge examinations (PET, FIRST and Cambridge Advance Online). I tutor online sociology at a undergraduate level, academic writing Skills, Spanish at GCSE level and English GCSE and A-levels.

Im currently an examiner for the main UK exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA, WJEC and Cambridge, examining both English and English Literature GCSE, iGCSE, Functional Skills English and AS Level. This gives me a clear understanding of the expectations of exam boards and exam papers. teaching method focuses on providing a comfortable environment for my students to learn in. I aim to provide various means to get my point across to students, whether it is graphically, exercises or past exam questions, this provides a wider scope of understanding for the student. I am also very interested to know what the topics are being studied at school or University, and support this with exercises and more challenging questions in my lessons. I relish the opportunity to teach and I always motivate and encourage my students to improve further. Having taught students of many age groups and backgrounds, I understand and accept that lessons need to be taught differently to different people. Using the internet as means of conducting my tuition online has allowed for me to reach and educate students from a greater array of educational backgrounds Therefore my adaptability is paramount in order to provide my students a comfortable environment in which to study in. I believe that no one pupil is the same, so it is impossible to define a teaching method as it must be adapted to the needs of the student. From experience of being tutored myself, I know how frustrating it can be to be taught in a way that doesn't suit your thinking, so with each pupil I ask them how they learn and absorb information best, Thus gaining comprehension of how to explain the subject area properly. I also like to push the student to think beyond their boundaries, or the boundaries necessary to simply get the grade.

A great lesson and fantastic materials supplied
