Oxford & UCL Graduate and Experienced Tutor 5+ Years Experienced Tutor | University College London | Oxford University | First Class Degree
ABOUT ME I am an English Literature and Language graduate with a First Class degree from University College London and a Masters with Distinction from the University of Oxford. I am currently undertaking a law degree, which is being sponsored by a top London law firm. I have been helping students aged 5-18 to improve their grades, prepare for exams and increase their love for learning for the past six years. I have extensive experience in designing lesson plans, preparing students for internal tests, GCSE’s and devising homework. I tutor in all subjects to KS4, and all humanities subjects to undergraduate level. Additionally, I have designed a bespoke 10 week Shakespeare and Public Speaking course, designed to improve literacy and confidence in KS3 and KS4 students. By the end of the course, my students went from being unable to name any Shakespeare plays to giving thoughtful and confident presentations on the play Othello.
MY APPROACH – My preferred approach is to create structured sessions, and I like to plan out at an early stage, after gauging the level of the student. I like to set out the goals to be achieved per session, so that progress can be assessed against the plan regularly. I am a patient and approachable tutor, and work hard to ensure my lessons are enjoyable as well as useful.
WHAT I OFFER – Maths and Science Tuition (KS1 to KS4), Humanities tuition from KS1 to Undergraduate (English Language, English Literature, History, Politics, Philosophy, R.S, essay writing, exam technique) - Homework support and Mentoring - University admissions support, including Oxbridge applications (personal statements, interview preparation) – Admissions Tests for 11+ - Public Speaking
