I was educated at grammar school in Kent before attending the University of Southampton to study English and Philosophy. Following graduation with a 2:1 I began training as a teacher, specialising in Secondary Level Religious Education. Upon completing my training I returned to teach in Kent for just over two years, delivering RS, History, Geography, and Sociology. In late 2012 I moved to Singapore to teach at a Junior College level (pre-university) where I was employed to teach General Paper (not to be confused with General Studies) and Knowledge and Inquiry (a form of philosophy). I taught in Singapore for 3 years before returning to the UK. Currently I work as a private tutor and for the Philosophy Foundation, a charity that conducts philosophical inquiry sessions in schools.
I am comfortable teaching at all levels, and am passionate about the importance of education, not just for its necessity in the working world, but its ability to develop personality, character, and values.
