About the lesson

I am passionate about English Literature and Religious Studies and I am dedicated to helping students develop their skills and understanding in these subjects. I am well qualified to tutor students in English from KS2 through to A Level, having received an A* in English Literature A Level, achieving 100% in my exam. I am also well qualified to tutor students in Religious Studies through to A Level, as I have recently graduated from the University of Birmingham gaining a First class degree with honours in Religion and Theology. I have an up-to date DBS check.

I have demonstrated a commitment to working with individuals who require some extra academic assistance to be the best they can be. I have previously mentored students in Religious Studies (Philosophy and Ethics) at Sixth Form College, as well as establishing good working relationships with individual pupils and groups of pupils during voluntary primary school placements. I appreciate that essay writing can be challenging at times and could also help with essay writing technique and improving structure, particularly as some of my Sixth Form College and University essays have been used as model exemplars.

I am available to tutor throughout the Summer holidays and relatively flexible throughout the academic year. I recognise that everyone learns differently and will adapt my tutoring to suit the needs and learning styles of students
