I am a mother of two children. I have a degree in medieval and modern history and achieved high level grades at A level in History and English literature. I have recently achieved my Level 3 certificate in Education and Training, which qualifies me to tutor 16+. I am a governor at my local primary school, working voluntarily as a literacy and history governor. I am writing a series of novels for 10+ year olds and have been studying creative writing techniques. I have delivered training courses to adults in employability, confidence building and befriending techniques.
My 12 year old son is due to take a test on Monday in History. We always struggle to identify the main points to revise as there seem to be many. The eras he will be tested on is the Cycladic, Minoan and Mycenean civilisations. Is there a certain set of questions we can set about asking when reading history that will help us to extract main points on a general level and retain them for revision? Infact, any revision/study tips will be most welcomed.
Thank you for reading.
