I'm an IT manager with 13 years' experience in the IT industry providing technical services and training. I love training and teaching and am a patient teacher who tries to make topics both clear to understand and interesting. I pride myself on an ability to make difficult topics easier to understand and enjoy the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with others.
Part of my job role is to provide training and instruction for computer users on a number of topics relevant to IT in the business sector. I have some Microsoft certifications and a BSc Hons in Computing, although I consider the bulk of my knowledge to have been gained during my time working in the industry.
My main skills are in computer network administration, including TCP/IP, switch and router configuration and VPNs. I am well versed in Microsoft Windows-based server administration, including Active Directory, group policies, DNS, DHCP as well as Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 and I also provide regular training for end-users on topics such as good everyday IT security practices.
