I graduated from the University of Wales (Aberystwyth) in 1985 with a first class degree in politics and economics (and Italian). I then went to Oxford University and got a M.Phil in 1987 in politics and philosophy. I started teaching at this point at a variety of institutions including the University and a language school (Oxford Intensive School of English). I then got a D.Phil at Oxford in 2000. I have been teaching politics and philosophy, Italian and English as a foreign language for 35 years. I worked for OISE, Abingdon College of Further Education, the Open University and as a tutor on the sub faculty of Oxford University. I would be interested in tutoring politics, philosophy and EFL at any level. I have also taught Latin at Abingdon College of Further Education, taking two years of students through GCSE. I take an interest in my student's progress and goals and do my best to help them achieve these goals. I have always maintained that the aim of the teacher is met when the student no longer needs him or her.
